



AV Rhythmic Gymnastics Club
The Director Galina Clark from A & V Rhythmic Gym club was presented with the British Gymnastics Gym Mark plaque by Claire Ongley the British Gymnastics London Club Development Coordinator for south London.
A & V Rhythmic Gymnastics club hosted 1st Four Seasons London Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament (Hoop) on 24th February 2013 at Townley Grammar School, Bexleyheath.
A & V Rhythmic Club squad outperformed all clubs by winning 5 gold medals out of 8.
Medals were presented by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bexley, Councilor AlanDowney and Councilor Rose Downey and congratulated by Cleo Hooper,
International RG Judge and member of the London British Gymnastics
Technical Committee.

At Malta’s 1st International Rhythmic Gymnastics novice competition on 28th October A & V Rhythmic Gymnastics club was represented by gymnasts Gabia Poskaite, Sophia Clark, Alex Lukov, Thais Guness and senior Asiya Kapysheva, and coach Martina Malgeri and judge Jana Rudova.

On Sunday 11th November the club took part for the first time in the “Four Season Tournament” competition in Edmonton Elite Gymnastics venue. The pupils competed in the rope category for level 1 and level 2 Rhythmic gymnasts.
As part of the Friendship Society’s Paralympics Heritage Project 2012, on 30 September 2012, the Friendship Society and the A&V Rhythmic Gymnastics Club staged a celebratory event at the Hall Place and Gardens, which was attended by the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Brian Beckwith and the Deputy Mayoress, Councillor Aileen Beckwith.
A&V Gymnasts represented GB in the Trofeo Dell’entan open competition in Sicily
On 7 July 2012, the gymnasts of the A&V Rhythmic Gymnastics Club represented the Great Britain in the Trofeo Dell’entan open competition in Sicily. Our youngest team member, Liana Minchenko aged 7, had a debut on an international carpet and was awarded a silver medal.
