2nd Four Seasons tournament


A & V gymnasts: Florence Hodge and Jaime Lewis took part in 2nd four Seasons Tournament (Autumn).

Florence won Gold medal at Level 3. She performed well against higher competition.

Jaime Lewis took 4th place Level 1, which is a very good result as she was placed with the girls performing at Level 2.

Well done to the girls & thier Coaches Jana Rudova and Monica Vedrichkova!!!

London Festival of Gymnastics


A & V Rhythmic Gymnastics Club took part in London Festival of Gymnastics on 19th October 2013.

For Many kids in the display team it was their first participation at London Festival of Gymnastics.

All children have performed exceptionally well and we proud of them. We would like to say a huge thank you to all coaches for making this possible..

1st Four Seasons Tournament named the champions.

Four Seasons Tournament came to an end and the overall winners of the tournament have been announced at Ribbon competition in A & V Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, Townley Grammar School. Tournament was introduced by London British Gymnastics in 2012. The objective for the competition was to insure that gymnasts of Level 1 and Level 2 worked with all rhythmic apparatus: Rope, Hoop, Ball and Ribbon.

At the final competition of the tournament all our four gymnasts competing in the competition won a medal in their year group and level.

Ribbon competition :

Florence Hodge DOB2003 Level 1- Silver medal

Gabija Poskaite DOB2000  Level 1- Silver medal

Anastasiya Minina DOB 2002 Level 2- Silver medal

Sophia Clark DOB 2001 Level 2- Gold medal

We are very delighted that all four of our gymnasts are Overall champions of the 1st Four Season London Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournamen ( rope, hoop, ball and ribbon)

Anastasia DOB 2002, Level 2 –Gold

Sophia – DOB 2001, Level 2 – Gold

Ms. Cleo Hooper – Chair of English Rhythmic Gymnastics Technical Committee, Cllr Sharon Massey – the Mayor of the Lonond Borough of Bexley and Olga Berzing & Chair of London Rhythmic Gymnastics technical committee presented medals to the winners of the Tournament.

It is a great achievement of all gymnasts and their coach: Jana Rudova.This is also  proof of the high quality performances of everyone in A & V Rhythmic Gymnastics club.

Competition day was finished by a friendly family disco where everyone had great fun.

Jack Petchy Foundation Achievement Awards

Jack Petchy Foundation Achievement Awards

A & V gymnasts have been awarded Jack Petchy Foundation medals for their positive contribution to the club.

2012 – 2013 nominees are: Gabija Poskaite, Sophia Clark, Aiste Adomaityte, Simran Ghuman and Anastasija Minina.

Danny Crates, the Paralympic world record holder in sprinting presented medals to the nominees and posed for the photos.

We are very proud of our young people.

A & V Rhythmic Gymnastics team of 5 gymnasts took part in 3 Trofeo dell’Etna International Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition on 6thJuly 2013.

In Categoy A

Sophia Clark 2001 – won Silver medal.

Florence Hodge 2003 – won second place in Ball  routine and took 4th place in free routine. Total 4th place.

In Category B

Gabija Poskaite 2000 – won Silver medal.

Alex Lukov 2002 – won Silver medal

Thais Guness 2005 – won Bronze medal.

As you can se these are excellent result for our gymnasts, who performed extremely well in hot conditions. The results reflect the hardwork put in by coach Jana Rudova and shows the vast improvement and experience the club is showing.

A & V would also like to thank the staff at A.S.D. Jamming Palestre for their hospitality and warm welcome in Sicily.

Daria Gorbacheva, represented A & V Rhythmic Gymnastics Club as a guest at the British Championship taking place  at the Fenton Manor Sport Complex in Stoke-on-Trent on 21st -23rd June 2013.As a guest, Daria was not eligible to win any titles or medals.
But she had the highest total score on Saturday 22nd June and went forward to Sunday’s apparatus Finals – where she also got highest total score.
Daria had 14.666 highest score in hoop, 14.933 highest score in ball, 15.083 highest score in ribbon and third 12.866 score in clubs. Total 57.548
Congratulations to Daria Gorbacheva and her coach Ms. E.Petunina.
Many thanks to Svetlana Samoilova, who presented Daria at British Championships.

1st Four Season London Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament (Spring)

A & V Rhythmic Gymnastics Club took part in Four Season Spring ball competition.

Gymnasts showed well prepared and clean routines, winning one gold, two silver and two bronze medals. Congratulations and many thanks to Jana Rudova for her excellent work.

National Grades Finals 2013

National Grades finals took place at the University of Wolverhampton’s Walsall Sports Centre on 18th and 19th May 2013. Sophia Clark (Grade 7) and Anastasija Minina (Grade 6) made their individual debuts at National Level. Their performance was significantly improved from the Zone Grades and Anastasija Minina ranked in the top 10 positions. Sophie Clarke had 8th position(Ball). Congratulations to our girls and their coach Jana Rudova.

A Celebration of Well-being and Diversity Day at Royal Greenwich.

On Wednesday 15th May A & V Rhythmic Gymnastics team performed a display at Woolwich Town Hall to celebrate Well-being and Diversity Day.

Thais Guness, Sophia Clark and Florence Hodge show cased their competition routines.
